Face & Body Care for Seborrheic Dermatitis-Prone Skin

Flaking beside the nose and through the brows. Redness along the hairline. Rough, reactive patches on the chest and back. Facial and body skin can be every bit as reactive as the scalp, and it deserves the same care. Every formula here is made for seborrheic dermatitis-prone skin, with no harsh sulfates, no heavy oils, and no steroids.

Why Dermazen for face and body

Built on a clinically studied approach*

Dermazen's formulas follow one set of rules: gentle surfactants and barrier-friendly lipids. In an independent 4-week clinical study of our scalp routine, conducted by Citruslabs with dermatologist photo evaluation:

  • 92% reported their scalp feeling calmer and more soothed after 4 weeks*

  • 88% reported improvement in overall scalp health after 4 weeks*

  • 84% said they would recommend the product to a friend*

*In a 4-week open-label, single-group clinical consumer perception study conducted by Citruslabs (n=27 test subjects. 18 and over.). Results based on participant self-report unless noted as dermatologist-confirmed. Individual results may vary.

No harsh sulfates

No SLS, SLES, or other harsh sulfates. The Daily Purifying Facial Cleanser and Daily Calming Body Wash clean with gentle plant-based surfactants that support the skin barrier instead of stripping it.

No heavy oils

No heavy oils, waxes, or butters that can worsen the flake cycle. We use only C8/C10 MCT and squalane, two lightweight lipids, with squalane chosen because it mimics part of the skin's own oil.

No steroids

No steroids in any formula. Every product is a gentle cosmetic formula, made for daily use on seborrheic dermatitis-prone face and body skin.

Clears dead skin buildup without scrubbing

The facial cleanser uses willow bark extract and papaya fruit extract, which help soften and lift away dead skin buildup so flakes release more easily, without harsh scrubbing or stripping.

Why is the skin beside my nose and in my eyebrows flaky?

Those zones hold more oil than the rest of the face, and oil, dead skin, and product residue can build up there and show as visible flakes and redness. Gentle daily cleansing helps: the Daily Purifying Facial Cleanser uses willow bark and papaya enzymes to soften and lift away dead skin buildup without stripping. If flaking persists or gets worse, a dermatologist can help you find out what is going on.

Are these products right for seborrheic dermatitis-prone facial skin?

Dermazen products are cosmetics formulated for seborrheic dermatitis-prone skin. They support how skin looks and feels: clearing buildup, soothing visible redness, and supporting the skin barrier. They are not drugs and do not treat medical conditions. For diagnosis or medical treatment, talk to a dermatologist.

What should I avoid in a face wash if my skin is reactive?

Harsh sulfates like sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate can strip the skin barrier, which can leave skin drier, tighter, and more reactive with each wash. Many people with reactive skin also avoid heavy oils like coconut and olive, which contain oleic acid, a fatty acid research links to barrier disruption.

Do facial oils cause flaking?

Some can contribute to it. Oils high in oleic acid, including olive, argan, and coconut, can interfere with the skin's natural cell shedding process, so dead skin cells can clump into visible flakes instead of shedding cleanly. That is why Dermazen formulas skip those oils entirely and use only C8/C10 MCT and squalane.

What is the Cooling Rescue Roller for?

Cooling comfort on contact. Roll it over skin that feels hot, itchy, or irritated, on the face or the body, as often as you like. It is designed for the moments between cleansing when reactive skin could use something cool right away.

What order should I use these in?

Cleanser morning and night, body wash in the shower, the roller and cloths anytime in between. For a routine matched to your skin and scalp, take the Skin & Scalp Quiz.
